His career spanned the years 1947 through 1956. He was awarded Rookie of the Year honors in 1947. He played in six All Star games and was the National League Most Valuable Player in 1949. He was a key player for the Dodgers in their 1955 World Series Championship Series over the Yankees. This card was unfortunately pasted on something and many years later removed, causing the paper loss on the back. The front has several light creases but corners, edges and color are decent.
