19th Century Baseball Pencil Box Pair in LOTG!
As featured in Love of the Game Auctions, ending April 3rd...
https://loveofthegameauctions.com/Lo...entoryid=23540 Still no bids on this rare pair of Pencil Boxes, circa 1880s. The first compartmentalized box depicts an early Baseball Game Scene, complete with Victorian-era Ladies watching intently from the stands. It remains in excellent shape with moderate surface wear, and none of the typical major detractors to condition. The second Pencil Box is an exceedingly rare "Figural Ring Bat" example, reminiscent of the bats you see pictured on Old Judge Tobacco Cards. It disassembles into 3 pieces (Burgundy handle, Blonde midsection, Black barrel), and was made to hold pencils within. With no chips, cracks or other condition flaws, this piece is as nice as possible for an item that's 130 years old! Many thanks for looking! |
A one-time bump, as LOTG closes later tonight (Saturday).
Great opportunity to snag this pair cheap! |
