New(?) to the hobby T206 Wagner
1 Attachment(s)
Joe Orlando tweeted yesterday about a T206 Wagner that PSA just holdered, and said it was 'known to the hobby but never slabbed until now.'
Does anyone know the provenance of this card? |
Don't know anything about it myself but his tweet reply actually said it is the first time our company had the opportunity to grade it. So possibly it was graded by another company previously?
Found the back scan when looking up the cert.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8c5f60cc5d.jpg Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |
Guess it got a Wagner bump to get that 1.5.

If anyone has the Beckett Elite "21 Faces of Wagner", it looks like the card is in there. I only have this cover image, but it's the first card in the top row.
|
Even with all it's flaws everyone here would love to own it...
|
I would but I wish all my cards were graded on that scale.
|
Great card! The 1.5 does not bother me too much.
|
That's a Larry Fritsch 1.5
|
Grade doesn’t matter on a Wagner as far as I’m concerned.
It’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay regarding of #. |

Seriously, a 1 but does it really matter that much? , . |

It really doesn't matter that much, but aren't we striving for more accuracy and accountability? When I first saw the grade it hit me as "I'll get it holdered if you give me a 1.5 but not a 1" type of deal. |
Yeah I don't think the grade is ultimately that important for something like a Wagner T206 but it is discouraging to think that a high profile card will get a softer look. A TPG is supposed to be an equalizer.

It's closer to a "1.5" than the Wagner PSA 8 is to an 8.
|
That does not really bother me in a 1.5. It is certainly nicer than some of the the 1s that have sold.
