Sam's Credit Card Craziness
 

I just got my Sam's Credit card statement. They changed the way they calculate interest now. They start charging interest from the very day you use the card. So interest starts accruing immediately. That will be the last time I use their card. Anyone else heard of this? Seems kind of crazy to me.

That is crazy, and it sounds illegal to me that they can actually do that?

I also assume this isn't written in bold anywhere but most likely in the very fine print?

That is really crazy! Never seen or heard of that. Hopefully all the other credit card company’s don’t follow suit. I would think if you called and complained about not knowing they would take the interest charge off if this just started. Worth a try.

It seems a promotional program went away and after that all purchases start incurring interest the day after the purchase. I think I can get another promotional program but ....I still won't be using it anymore...

If you like to call and complain you can stay on introductory promo plans for many many years.:)

I don't think it's worth it. I have had their card for literally 19 yrs. It's not so introductory any more.
