Avast warning logging into EBay?

1 Attachment(s)
Every time when I try to log into ebay today I receive this warning from Avast, which is my computer's security software that I have used for years now.
It looks more like a Paypal issue associated with Ebay but I am not logging into Paypal, just ebay.

Just curious if anyone else is receiving this while logging in today?

Leon, sorry if this is in the wrong section but I figured it might be kind of important?

That is odd, my bank froze my account for managed payments. on hold for a hour right now. Something is up.

Thanks for letting me know, Christopher. :)

I ran the scan numerous times and Avast found nothing so I decided to log in but while in and surfing around looking at my watch list, etc, the Avast warning keeps popping up.
I ran scans again and still nothing but it seems very odd to me. A quick Google search didn't help so I am logging off and waiting it out for a while.

Judging by the warning, it is a PP issue like I mentioned but because of their affiliation with ebay, I assume that is why I am receiving these?

I'm not a computer guy at all but these could be false positives, but if they are, how does one know?

Got through and they said everything looks okay. I changed my bank password to be safe.

What is Avast?

Unless it is something YOU specifically installed and are familiar with, it could be Malware - which if it is would infect your computer as soon as you clicked "scan now". Perhaps someone better versed than I could chime in.

I can look at my ebay notifications via my email but as soon as I go to log in, up pops the Avast warning and wants me to do a scan.
Numerous scans later and it finds nothing so it's odd for sure.

This is the first time this has ever happened to me while trying to log into eBay.

Avast isn't malware; it's a free virus app that actually does a decent job of scanning for malware on my computer. It doesn't really bog down your computer speed either. I've been using it for years with no issues.

I just found this which explains what is going on.
Could be just Avast being overprotective, but it's odd it has never happened before? I suspect it sees something with PP that wasn't there before, hence the warnings.

"The blocked URLs will be shown as “Infected with URL: Blacklist” or “URL: Blacklist. This is a common problem many Avast users face, this is because Avast has an excellent web protection system that protects you from all suspicious online activities that might hurt your Computer or Personal Information"

Sounds like it can be repaired but I will see if it does it again tomorrow?

It is still doing it.

My Avast paid subscription is coming due in 5 days so I keep receiving pop up renewal notices as well.
My current issue might be related to this fact but I have no way of knowing?

I'll try contacting Avast today, if possible, to find out what exactly is going on?
