This is Johnson's own original Fullerton Union (California) high school class group photo, presumably from his last year there of 1905. The 17 year-old was the pitching star of the baseball team that year, and here he conveniently stands out in relief at the top of the entrance, with a circle penned in over his head for further identification, probably done by his own hand. 8"x5" with a few creases and minor paper loss, none of which impinges on Johnson's image. Scrapbook paper residue on the back.
