ENDS TONIGHT - T206 Piedmont Doc Crandall - Very Sharp!

2 Attachment(s)
No creases. Very sharp condition, both front and back, as you can see from the scans. In October, 2019, it received a grade of 4 from SGC, but I cracked it out thinking the grade didn't make sense, given its high-grade-looking condition. However, it no longer fits into my collection, so I'm making it available here.

We will start this auction off at $20. Please raise the top amounts by bidding in increments of $5. The auction will close at midnight EST on Thursday, 3/11/21. Delivery costs will be on me, and PayPal payments are preferred.

I know. But I've seen even more egregious grading from PSA. Once I got a '54 Topps Warren Spahn card that was graded PSA 3. I cracked it out because it was so sharp - literally pack-fresh looking. It was completely mystifying to both of us. The seller asked me to let him know if there were any "hidden" creases. I couldn't find any. How that card could have been graded a PSA 3 is beyond me. And there are countless other examples of under-grading out there, as we all know. I think that's why we are seeing more low-grade cards getting disproportionately higher bids. Collectors are truly buying the card, not the grade more than ever because they know the grading standards are all out of whack these days. I tried to copy and paste the SGC order that graded this card as a 4, with this result (below). I wish I could have done it in a more credible manner, but my screenshot won't paste here for some reason.
