Net54 fantasy baseball league?
 

Hey all

I’m wondering how much interest there would be in having a 2021 Net54 Fantasy baseball league?

Nothing too heavy or intense - more for fun, really - mixed league, low (or no) stakes other than few to cover the CBS web site fees.

Anyone up for it? To me, a 12-14 team league is ideal.... feel free to either respond here or PM me and let’s see what we might have here.

I’d simply cut/paste rules from my other league just to keep it simple for this year.

Looks like we’re up to 11.. room for 1 more (keep to 12 teams)

Mixed AL and NL, 12 hitters, 6 pitchers and 3 bench players. 6 batting and 6 pitching categories, Roto style. $100/team, pay for stat service, then split balance $$ 50%, 30%, 20% for 1st, 2nd, 3rd

(21) total players on the roster with a (12) league team. Is that correct?

Just curious, what categories are being scored?

Does that mean the OF can be manned by anybody that is categorized as an OF? No need to have a RF, CF and LF on the roster?

(6) pitchers and (3) bench players?

What is the innings limit (assuming a 162 game schedule)?

Sorry for all the questions. I haven't played with roster that is 21 players for the year.

Guys, I have already gotten 2 e-mails confirmed so we still have 9 slots left

Here are a few more details/reminders:

1. Notify me by e-mail if confirmed in by this Friday, March 12th

2. Entry fee paid to me via PayPal next weekend (March 13-14)

3. Draft day/time will be Saturday, March 20, 1:00

4. It will be an online draft using CBS site. Might do a zoom too (would be nice to “meet” you all!)

5. Forgot to mention - lineups will be weekly set (avoids the daily SP streaming thing), and transactions are $1 each limited to $50 in total transactions

6. Categories are HR, R, RBI, OBA, SB and Total Bases for batters and W, S, ERA, WHIP, K’s and Quality Starts for pitchers

7. This will be a CHILL, NO DRAMA league, just for fun, the love of baseball, a few pennies to the winners and some bragging rights! If you are looking for a really intense league, this won’t be your ideal gig!

8. If we keep it going after our innagural year, will be no keepers, contracts or any of that. Too complicated!

I’ll send a more full list of league rules when you e-mail me your confirmed interest.

Hope we can get 12 teams - would be fun to play with other card collectors (I’ll expect some clever, card related team names BTW 🙃

Quick update... we have 4 confirmed players for this new Fantasy Baseball League

Looking for a total of 10-12 to make it work and semi-competitive/fun

Looks like we’re a no-go on the league. Did not have enough players interested.
