Who is GMA Grading?
|
I have bought a few cards the were GMA. I would not use them for grading. If I had cards that I wanted slabbed and not concerned about resale value, I might consider them.
Do a search on ebay for GMA cards that sold, you will see why GMA grading is not good for resale. |
Here is a recently revived thread with good discussion about this company:

I use them for grading quite a bit. Their grades are in line with any other. People on here are always badmouthing them for no reason. Try them, you will be supprised how good they are.

Hi
I here the price for slabbing are cheap. I hear the service is good and they have fast turn around time. However, I here inconsistency in the grade and if you match their grade to similar ones from other services they sell for a lot less. My only guess is that they are not known and do not yet have a strong reputation and thus have lower trust factor. I personally would not buy a card from them do to the lack of an established reputation and I am a collector/investor so I am concerned about the potential resale value. Jeff kuhr |
Thank guys for the input and the link to the previous post.

There was a rather animated discussion about GMA a while back
at the usually moribund eBay Sports Cards & Memorabilia forum, with a more recent short follow-up: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Sports.../td-p/29931359 https://community.ebay.com/t5/Sports.../td-p/31538348 |
