Cautiously optimistic

that we will be able to attend MLB and minor league games this year. Can't see why not unless things take a sharp turn in a bad way.
I've never looked more forward to sitting out in the sun with an overpriced beer and an unhealthy hot dog in my life.
The MLB stadiums I've always wanted to hit and haven't gotten there yet are LA, Wrigley and Pittsburgh. A return to St. Looeey is always cool. Fun town to drop in for a 3 game series.

Talked to my ticket guy with the Scranton Railriders they are definitely working on a plan for fans. Not sure what it will be but we will be there at least and hopefully a few at Yankee Stadium at some point.

I agree, I'm pretty sure we'll be able to as well. The Knicks just opened to 10% of max capacity, I'm sure things will be loosened up as we get into the spring and summer too.

Fauci, a huge fan, said outside games of course much safe than anything under a roof.

Die hard Cubs fan, but live in Pittsburgh now. No reason why fans shouldnt be allowed into PNC Park. Pandemic or no pandemic, it is always very easy to social distance there. :)

I can't agree more. I live outside of Detroit and the Tigers have Thursday afternoon games at 1:00 that are just perfect with sunshine, warm weather and an overpriced warm beer. I can't wait!

I see the stadium in Richmond whenever I leave out of the back door of my place in RVA. Just thinking how long it’s been since live games. Good news is if the National takes place, the timing is perfect for a Cubs and a White Sox game!

All this talk of overpriced warm beer is really getting me turned on.

Jcosta19 02-25-2021 09:32 AM

Most minor league stadiums should be easily socially distanced based on crowd sizes

NY Rangers opening up shortly, NY/NJ minor league baseball will be open. Wouldn't pay too much mind to Fauci anymore...

I'm fully vaxxed now and am hoping some more information comes out about effectiveness / risk of spread. Would be nice if I'm able to go to games without all the testing requirements.

With almost no local restrictions in Iowa, I foresee being able to go see the Cubs minor league team. I've already talked to them about reserving a skybox for opening day April 13th. If anybody wants to come to Des Moines around that time let me know and they can join me for the game.

In the last 2 weeks, I have fought through giant crowds at Costco, bought pharmaceuticals at Walgreens, obtained cleaning supplies at Target, and flown on an overbooked flight with every seat occupied, in an enclosed tube with recirculated air and people spaced less than 10 inches apart.

So yes, I would hope that outdoor baseball games at half-capacity will happen. I sure hope so. There are an infinite number of double-standards here in the crazy PNW and frankly, nothing here would surprise me.

WA_HOF_rookie 02-25-2021 10:16 PM

As a Mariners season ticket holder, I expect plenty of space. After the comments this week, I might get my very own section.

As long as they're selling cold cans of beer and hotdogs, I'm in.

I am going to see the Rangers at MSG on Tuesday. Hopefully that is a good sign for baseball this year.
