1938 World Series Ball
So the same seller who is selling the false Eddie Plank bank slips:
https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=295837 is now selling a ball he is calling a 1938 World Series Ball, however it just sold on Ebay as a 1938 Eastern League Series ball: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Signed-Base...p2047675.l2557 That original seller has another Eastern League Series ball: up:https://www.ebay.com/itm/Harry-Nemo-...YAAOSwLYRgIuyr In 1938 the Eastern League Series was won 3 games to 2 Elmira defeated Binghamton. The crooked seller even notes the score doesn't match up with game 3 of the WS, Game 3 score was 5-2, ball says 8-3, but got lucky in that it was the same score for the 1938 WS "game 4". So he calls it game 4, yet the ball clearly says game 3. I find it hard to believe if you went to the WS you would right down the wrong game number on the ball. Also, the signature on the ball is Owen Scheetz who was an Eastern League player at the time. Crooked seller doesn't mention this. So be careful if you are watching or bidding on this one, I don't believe it's from the WS. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1938-Vintag...MAAOSwZH5gMZIl |
