Vintage Bats at Garage Sale - Worth Buying?
 

My mother stumbled across a garage sale with a bunch of Player bats for sale. The seller is asking for between $5-10 a bat, so I was curious if any were worth purchasing, of if these have little value? I was definitely going to buy the 2 Jackie Robinson's even as wall displays, and the Don Mattingly because he was a childhood icon. How about the others? Yaz, Carew, the Roses? Anything worthwhile grabbing? I'm assuming these are all store model bats and nothing is player specs?

Are any of these softball bats?

I have no idea of actual value but at $5-$10 each I would have very quickly bought every one of them.

x2 - first words out of my mouth would have been "will you take $40 for the lot"? If no, I would pay the asking price for all of them.

I would have bought them all and then my wife would beaten me with them. One at a time.

I recently bought a Wade Boggs All Star Game bat and my wife threatened to beat me with it. I still sleep with one eye open.:D

Yeah, at that price I'd have bought them all.

Thanks all - don’t know what the knobs are but I’ll see if I can figure it out. The bats are on hold for me (neighbors garage sale), so guess I’ll pick them all up. Even if they are worthless later, they can be a fun project to repurpose.
