19th Century Book & Photo Protection

Hello, I recently acquired some 19th century CDV's, cabinets & tin photos, plus some books (all non sports related), and was wondering if someone can point me to a good online resource with information about protecting such items? For instance, I keep what few OJ and T cards I have in a binder w/ Ultra Pro sheets, and thought I could do the same for these CDV's, cabinets & tin types, but thought I'd ask here for advice before walking down that road. Also, I have a few books that have pages with brown patches/spots on the edges (see photos attached). The spots are primarily on pages just inside the book cover, and then the first few pages in. I thought it was moisture damage (may be), but now I'm not sure. It also looks like it could be old page/wood reaction to light? Before I put these books in storage I wondered if anyone can tell me what would cause the pages to brown along the those edges, and, if I need to do something before storing as I don't want them to further deteriorate. Pointing me to some useful links appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply & link! I had heard of foxing, but forgot about that term, and what it meant. As for the CDV's & cabinets, I guess I'll stick them in my Ultra Pro page binders w/ my tobacco cards, for now. Not sure how I want to protect/display the tin types. Anyway, thanks for the link.
