How do you find these things--besides the standard ebay saved search, etc.?

I've been looking for a 2010 Topps 206 - Mini Framed Autographs of Sammy Gervacio for quite a while now, with no luck, and frankly no idea as to where to turn ....

I've had some pretty good luck on message boards, Beckett Marketplace, Sportlots, COMC, etc. Though I just checked all of those places and didn't see the one you are after. Not even a Google image.

Have you ever actually seen the Gervacio? I've run across other A&G collectors over the years that were searching for some of the same cards, and we have come to the conclusion that there are many still on the checklist that were never produced:

EDIT: I just found a blog post from 2012 in which a guy received a T205 Chris Young framed mini autograph as a replacement for Sammy Gervacio. This leads me to believe he didn't sign. Scroll almost to the very bottom of the page:

I really appreciate your post! No, I’ve never seen an image, nor have I run across anyone who claims to own or have owned a Gervacio mini framed 206. In fact, I’m starting to believe that it probably does NOT exist.

Taking your lead, I found two posts from people who tried unsuccessfully to redeem a Gervacio redemption card. In one case, Topps said it couldn’t find the card. (Sorry for no link- I was unable to make that function work from an iPhone. But I searched google for “Gervacio redemption card.”)

Anyway, doesn’t sound like it exists, does it?

Given all of that information, I think it is very safe to assume it doesn't exist. The lack of an online photo reference (of a recent card) is the major red flag, but having older first person accounts claiming Topps filled those redemptions with alternatives puts it over the top for me.

Well, sounds like that's one I can take off my list. Much better than waiting forever for a card that does not exist!

I have a similar issue with a 2005 Bowman Signs of the Future Brad Snyder--which, as with the Gervacio card, was made a redemption because the player did not return his autos on time. With this card too, I've found no images, and no evidence that anyone owns or has seen the card.

The only difference is that I haven't seen any posts from people who unsuccessfully tried to redeem the card. Still have to think that it might not exist though.

I'm in the same boat. Chasing a few 2016 Allen Ginter Cubs cards. I'm hitting pretty much the same sources: Ebay saved searches, Sportslot, Message boards like here and Blowout, Comc, Beckett Marketplace, occasional Google searches, but no joy. I do not have a personal Facebook account, but their marketplace might be another place to try. There are a few A&G groups on Facebook also that might generate some leads.

I'm open to any other suggestions of sources to check. I am contemplating heading up to Philly next weekend but not sure I can sneak away.
