Death of member Mike Dugan - Hot Springs Bathers

Mike Dugan, a longtime member here, passed away this week. Mike and I became pretty close the last few months. He will be missed.

I thought some of you would like to see his obituary:

My best,

Seems like his whole life revolved around a love of sports and family. Lived a good life.

So sorry to hear this. Mike was beyond generous with his time and knowledge and helped me out on many occasions when I was doing some research about Majestic Park. RIP.

Marty, thanks for posting this.

Sad news. I hope someone in Hot Springs oversees the finishing touches to the Trail that Mr. Dugan envisioned. That would be a fitting tribute to Mike's memory.

RIP, Mike.

Being a fellow Arkansan, Mike and I exchanged several PMs over the years. He was very involved in researching the history of baseball in Arkansas. This is a terrible loss. Absolutely heartbreaking. RIP.

Leon I agree totally with your observation. I first met Mike at the SABR Deadball spring event circa 2004 when he hosted a party for those of us who came in from around the country. He enjoyed his family, his friends (I don't think he ever met someone not a friend); baseball and sports cards. I always enjoyed seeing him whenever he would come to DFW in recent years.

RIP to my friend and a good man

And my his memory be a blessing

Rich
