Babe Ruth Headin' Home Circa 1920 And Other Lobby Cards
One of the little niches of collecting is Movie Lobby Cards. So this is a little O/T as they aren't really cards per se. But probably the closest I will get to owning another of the Headin' Home cards since the prices have risen so much. Any one else collect Lobby Cards? If not then I guess now is a great time to pick some up.
This one had the bottom left corner taped back on and I was unaware of it when bought. The seller said I could return it but where am I going to find another? ( a stack of them will probably show up tomorrow :)) https://luckeycards.com/babeh2.jpg |
Very cool, Leon! Love the eyeliner!

It must be the stealth version.
No pic for me. Edit. What the heck!? Post this, hit the back button and the pic is there. |

Me too, I forgot I had this one below. One of the cooler movie cards I have seen of him. The size is 5 x 7 on card stock. I was surprised it didn't go for more when I paid up for it not that long ago.
But they are two different movies. My understanding is that a Babe Comes Home movie has never surfaced whereas Babe in Headin' Home movies whereabouts are known. Not that it matters a lot. Quote:

Babe the Movie Star
Some really nice items here guys, a Ruth niche of collecting. Here`s a few pieces accumulated through the years. 1st one, an 8 X 10 type 1 photo from the movie "Headin Home". The next 2, cool ticket shaped like a ball for obvious reasons and an antique leather suitcase with a hand painted advertisement both for "Babe Comes Home". Leon that large shot of the Babe is awesome. Remember when it came up and how nice it was !

RKO Theaters Babe Ruth premium, apparently handed out at the Babe's funeral according to the story a previous owner wrote on the back of mine.
I wrote more about it here https://www.net54baseball.com/showth...light=theaters |
