Quick Trade?? 1961 Mickey Mantle #300 in poor condition
2 Attachment(s)
I am going to include this Mickey Mantle card in Bobby's group sub, because even "Authentic" or PSA 1's sell for over a hundred bucks and higher. Let me be perfectly clear, that is all this card is going to receive. It has wrinkles, rounded corners, serious surface wear, and the only horrors seemingly missing are stains and writing. On the good side, the Mick's face is pretty clear and unbothered. (When put against a modern card, it is a tiny hair thinner side to side. I assume it's 'natural,' but wanted to include that for honesty's sake.)
So I had a thought. I'll post it here and see if anyone wants to trade for it instead. My shipment is (hopefully) going out tomorrow, so time is of the essence. If anyone is interested, please hit me up immediately. Attachment 436709Attachment 436710 On a side note, I will include another option as well. If we do agree to a trade, and you want it sent off to Bobby to get graded, I'll be happy to do that. Two things: I can't guarantee a grade (although in my mind, "Authentic" might be the winner), and when all is said and done a long time from now, you'd have to arrange return shipment (from me or Bobby) after the sub comes back. I am particularly interested in these: • HOF'ers in nice shape from the 50's and 60's, graded or ungraded • Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Sandy Koufax, Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams, Roberto Clemente, Babe Ruth and Nolan Ryan cards • 1971 Topps Greatest Moments • Tough to find errors and variations from the 50's through the early 70's • 1964 Topps Stand-Ups (need virtually any in nice shape) • 1961-67 Topps high numbers and SP's • 1962 Topps 'green tints' graded 8 and higher • 1963 Fleer BB stars and HOF'ers in nice shape • 1967 Laughlin World Series (with address on back) in high grade • Major HOFer rookie cards • 1953 Bowman Color BB (need virtually any in nice shape) • 1954 Bowman BB stars and HOF'ers in nice shape • 1954 Red Heart BB (need virtually any in nice shape) • 1971 Fleer World Series ‘Updates’ (1971 - 1977) in high grade • 1972 Topps high numbers that I need in PSA 9 • T-206's or other pre-war cards (possibly) • And who knows what else? Sets, oddball things from the 50's and 60's?? I may be open to a wide range of things. Edited to add: (Partially deleted.) Yes, it's in awful shape, but it's a Mick and by the time it comes back from grading it'll command an even higher market price, as Mantle cards continue to climb. |
Good thing not picky. ;-) I'll send you a PM.

This is meant to be semi-humorous, but I wanted to bring this old thread full circle after twenty something months. The 1960 Topps #300 Mickey Mantle card is finally back, and it is a whopping PSA 1.5!!! Woo hoo!!!!!! Since I guessed it would only come back as 'authentic,' it is now worth one and a half times more in trade value than before. Double woo hoo!!!!!!!
