SOLD: 1913-15 W530 (T5) Pinkerton PC - King Cole No Hitter, Ruth's first hit
Up for sale is the following 1913-15 W530 (T5) Pinkerton Cabinet Postcard of King Cole. The card is postcard sized at approximately 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" but blank backed. This is typical for the issue. See the attached for more information on the set:
https://prewarcards.com/2016/10/05/p...corecards-set/ The card pictures Cole in his Cubs uniform where he played from 1909-1912, but lists him with the Yankees, where he played from 1914-1915. Cole is credited with pitching the first no-hitter in Cubs history (1910), a season in which he went 20-4. In October 1914, while with the Yankees, Cole gave up Babe Ruth's first major league hit. Not a bad resume for a guy who only pitched in 6 major league seasons. Asking $SOLD. I'll cover shipping. Send me an email at h2oya311@yahoo.com if interested. https://photos.imageevent.com/derekg...0Pinkerton.jpghttps://photos.imageevent.com/derekg...n%20_back_.jpg |
