Matthews (Atlanta) E254: Help needed from Southern League/Colgan's Chip experts!

Need some help with the identity of the player shown on the E254 Colgan's Chip Matthews (Atlanta)
Checklists and eBay listings have him as Bill Matthews, however the player who was on the 1910 Atlanta Crackers roster was Harry Matthews. Is this a case where Bill's image was used for Harry or is there an error on an early checklist? Patrick |

Looks more like Harry Matthew who played with the NO Pelicans in 1908 (Far Left), and then Atlanta in 1909.
Attachment 435665 William Matthews played with Boston. Does not appear to be him: Attachment 435666 |

Found an interesting article by using Harry's nickname of Smutter.

Looks like the E254 Colgan's Chip checklist needs a correction! So far, all the evidence points to Harry "Smutter" Matthews as the player image on the Matthews (Atlanta) E254 Colgan's Chip. Patrick |
You guys did that well. Now to get the guides to accept what you've sussed out and correct their listings. Congratulations and thank you!

Since Harry Matthews was a catcher, and I'm confident now that it's his image, I added him to my collection last night. Thanks to the two gentlemen that provided images! Patrick |
Harry versas Bill
Harry Matthews was clearly the person on the 1910 Atlanta Crackers roster.
Therefore, the real question was simply is that Harry's picture or Bill's picture on the E254 Colgan's Chip. All evidence points to Harry's image not Bill, who had a dimped chin. Patrick |
