Mickey Mantle autograph
 

I’ve been collecting a while but by no means do I pretend to be very knowledgeable when it comes to autographs. I have the opportunity to buy this card locally and I compared the auto on the card to others outlined on Mantle websites and it doesn’t appear to raise any red flags. The owner’s father received autograph in person but doesn’t have any pictures or a COA. She doesn’t know the approx year it was autographed either. Before I pull the trigger, does anybody see anything with the autograph that should keep me away? Thanks in advance for your help.

It's very tough to tell from the picture, could you perhaps enlarge it, or get a better scan? Something about the "M" in Mantle seems off to me but that could just be the scan.

I thought it looked familiar but was hesitant to comment without knowing for sure. I saw it on Ebay too not long ago.

It looks bad to me. Besides very early Mantle autos, the second M generally has a downward slope to it, almost connecting the letter into a loop. This characteristic does not exist with the 68' Topps card. Also, the flow looks wrong.
