Hoping some ancient language expert on here or might know someone able to decipher or reveal the origin of these interesting inscriptions. These are on the handle of a small ancient copper container.--thanks for looking

If you do an online search of ancient letter and numeral systems (many ancient cultures used their letters also for numbers) you will likely find it. It would seem good chance that they are letters.
At first, I thought it might be Hebrew but I don't think so. |
Very interesting. It looks like there are only two symbols and they repeat.
Maybe it says, "hot handle hot handle hot handle?" :D In any case, the two symbols also look similar. They are both basically three sides of a box (the left side having a slight curvature near the bottom) with a design inside. The inside design looks to be the same only flipped vertically in alternate symbols. So, if they are letters, it must be something very simple like "empty full empty full." Please let us know what you find out. |

Any details about location of purchase, organization purchased from, letter of declaration? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk |
The symbols are all the same but being reversed left to right creating a pattern more than likely an artistic design, but it would help to know its origin

My first thought is that it looked similar to Persian designs/ letters but I am by no means an expert.

Yeah, I was thinking Thai or Sanskrit. But since the symbol is repeating and rotates its hard to say it's more than design. It is close to the thai symbol for the #2, which Thai evolved from Sanskrit.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...510630256c.gif
