2020 Autograph Collecting Goals: How Did You Do?

Just like in the card section, I'm interested in hearing how you did this year for your 2020 collecting goals. I had five goals for autograph collecting. Here's how I did:

1) Add at least one signature to my 3,000 Hit Bat.
- I had 21 autographs and got Beltre this year. Only have Pujols and Suzuki left. Goal met!
2) Add at least one signature to my 3,000 K baseball.
- I have 16 and still need Verlander and Sabathia. Didn't get either one. Goal NOT met.
3) Add at least five single-signed baseballs of the top 100 Baltimore players (as determined by WAR).
- I was able to add six so far, for a total of 84. Goal met!
4) Add the three living HOFers I still need on single-signed balls.
- I added Walker and Edgar Martinez, but still need Jeter. 2/3. Goal partially met
5) Add one deceased single-signed HOF baseball
- I have 142 in my collection, so it's getting tough. Never found a good one at a good price. Goal NOT met.

How did you do in 2020?

1. Pick up at least 1000 hockey autographs that are not in my collection (this one should be easy).

Maybe got 100-150.

2. Get 5 of the 8 I need to finish off my 1964/65 Parkhurst (1994) set.

Got none.

3. Get a few more Perez-Steele HOF Postcards (1980-2002), need 19 to finish off the set.

Got none.

4. Finish off a few of the pack pulled autograph sets.

Picked up a few for some of the sets.

5. Pick up 500 baseball, football and basketball autographs that I do not have in my collection.

Failed.

6. Transfer all the signed cards out of the binders into top loaders. Have been saying this for a few years now, just lazy on this one.

Since toploader production was cut way back I did not get this one done, did get the autos out of the binders and into sleeves.

7. Move some furniture to get into a closet that has a bunch of signed stuff. It's going to be nice to see what is in there, has been 15+ years since I've seen what is there.

Did this one.

2020 has been good year, from a collectors viewpoint.

Primary goal was to cross off at least one name on my vintage Detroit Tigers autograph want list. Accomplished. And while secondary goal was to not buy autographs I did not need, I picked up three or four truly tough duplicates at great prices. No regrets there.

Every year starts pretty much the same with wanting to add to my 1934 Goudey set. I was able to add Frank Grube, so the year was a win. Added a few other things, but nothing that i specifically planned for.

My main goal was to work towards finishing my quest to get all signed copies of the Living Legends series by Ron Lewis. I managed to complete that goal back in September. I am beyond thrilled and look forward to eventually displaying it. I have duplicates of Mantle, Duke, Willie, Berra and Matthews that I will work into another display, somehow, in the future.

Connie Mack auto - beautiful 1954 spring training program; original owner with great story. Got it when he was 12 years old.
