Yepbq Dump

Who ever Yepbq (8766, 99.8 poz) is, he has a huge number of pre-War cards ending on Ebay in about 5 hrs. Unfortunately, his BIN and starting bids for auction are way too high, and I suspect the seller might be off-loading a giant collection to profit from the surge in trading card prices. But at his asking prices, I doubt he will.

x2drich2000 12-06-2020 03:54 PM

From what I've looked at, it seems he's simply relisting the same cards with the same prices that he has had for the past few years as auctions instead of BIN.

Shoeless Moe 12-06-2020 04:00 PM

He's one of the few I exclude in my advanced search so I don't have to weed through his overpriced stuff. I don't even see his anymore.

Cards

I made him a offer on a card in 2014 that is still listed. Really nice guy just not motivated to sell.

If you look at the buyer feedback they primarily buy PWCC and Probstein cards through auction then flip them at higher prices. It works for them and I see nothing wrong with someone flipping and making a few bucks, probably runs a great operation for all I know. With that said, I'm not interested in paying 3-5 times or more over retail when I can just buy it closer from the source myself. A card goes from the original seller to PWCC to an eBay listing to yepbg back to eBay then finally to the end buyer. A lot of hands dipping in the pot there.

Seems like it - these are very familiar(ly overpriced).

Agrees - yepbg, Deans, BMW .... are all in my Excluded Sellers list as well.

Done deals with him before. If you make a reasonable offer, he generally will deal.

can't seem to find this guy on ebay, could someone link his listings? thanks.

It's Yepbg not Yepbq

Haha, I was curious to see how much he was overpricing things!

commishbob 12-06-2020 07:26 PM

Scrolled through two pages of his listings (400 items), all ending within the hour and not one had a bid. I know some will go via snipes but you'd think one item would have a bid.

Snipes??? I can't see his auctions getting 1 bid let alone 2, so snipe not needed. Anybody wants it, just bid. Highly doubtful you'd be outbid.

Yepbg

What bothers me is that he is too lazy to provide back scans.

Honestly thought this was from archive when I saw it pop up...Jerry

Agree With Gabrinus...

...we have talked about this seller for many years. His prices are very very high. He does consider offers though as I got a T-206 common, that I "really" needed:rolleyes:with an offer. He was very nice and friendly through out the transaction. The card was really nice and shipping was prompt and well done. But that is my only encounter with him. He sure does offer some nice stuff....but again so very expensive. Hard to imagine being a repeat customer. I seem to remember that some of our members seemed to think that they "Offended" him with offers that resulted with him blocking them.

A few years ago I asked him about a 1964 Topps Venezuelan card with no back scan if it had any back damage, which is very common on Venezuelan cards because they were glued into albums. He assured me that none of his cards have back damage unless otherwise noted. So I bought the card and very shortly afterward he completely refunded me and said he noticed the card had back damage when he went to package it. He was completely professional and polite all the way through.

Same here

taul166 12-07-2020 05:30 PM

I have purchased from him a couple of times on items I was really interested in. His prices are high, but some are reasonable if you take the time to consider. On the items I purchased, I placed reasonable bids that were accepted.

nolemmings 12-07-2020 05:42 PM

I can't agree on his prices and making a fair offer. Tried it a time or two. Nada.

I would gladly sell him about 100 of my cards at 50% of his prices. Then I could still enjoy looking at my cards for years on ebay, plus I would already have the back scans.

ccre 12-07-2020 06:06 PM

Oh he definitely blocked me. He had a very high price on a card and I offered what I thought was higher than reasonable offer. Next thing I know, he blocked me. Guess he did me a favor.

insidethewrapper 12-07-2020 06:12 PM

I checked on ebay and he does sell a lot of items if you check his sold box. Many have accepted offers. Go to slabwatch.com to see how much he discounts. Appears to be about 20-25% off selling price he will accept.

clydepepper 12-07-2020 06:15 PM

After my first managed payment experience earlier this week, I AM DONE selling on ebay...luckily, a net54 member was involved and we were able to do business after all.

I guess you can look forward to me selling some goodies in the not so distant future on BST.

God Bless Leon Luckey!

Griffins 12-07-2020 06:18 PM

He's a member here, but only posts occasionally.
I've had nothing but good dealings with him, he's often got a little flexibility and is very professional.

bobbyw8469 12-10-2020 07:17 AM

A seller is free to sell an item at whatever price they want. If the market goes up, that is a good thing. If the market bottom outs, well, then he is stuck holding cards. That being said, if 999 sellers are selling milk at $1.30 a gallon, and 1 seller has it at $10 a gallon, I probably won't buy from the seller with the $10 a gallon price. That is my opinion of Yepbg.
