Historical Card Values

Does anyone know if there is information readily available detailing historical card values, vintage and/or modern, over time such as current as compared to a year ago, five years ago, etc.?

Yes, Vintage Card Prices (VCP) is an excellent resource for tracking and trending values

Back issues of Beckett are pretty easy to track down.

PSA has a good pricing tool right on the site for free if you want to see historical prices of PSA cards. It also lists the venue of sale, the seller (if eBay) and whether the sale was a BIN or an auction result.

All of the above are good data points. Keep in mind. There's no definitive way to filter out historical sales as a result of shilling or dirty tricks. Its always a little safer to evaluate trends instead of edge cases.

100% recommend VCP. Been using it a ton lately for some research purposes. One of the more invaluable tools in the vintage space, in my opinion.

PWCC has a 'S&P 500' type index of baseball cards, actually the PWCC 100, PWCC 500 and PWCC 2500.

You can see information on the individual cards (5 year and 10 year ROI) that make up the indices or track the index as a whole over time.

Only providing the info - not an endorsement of PWCC.
