1941 Play Ball Bill Dickey on eBay - worth a read

Hi - I consigned this 1941 Play Ball Bill Dickey CSA 9 card via PWCC that's running on eBay, ending on Sunday 11/29.

This card came from an older collector who assembled his collection in the 90s - he had a discerning eye, and bought cards in PSA, SGC and CSA cases. (I know, sounds like an oxymoron there, but I believe it!) There was a time when CSA was viewed as a viable alternative to PSA and SGC, so people did submit some nicer cards to them back in the day.

I cracked many of this gentleman's cards from the CSA cases 5-6 years ago, and crossed them to PSA - all graded numerically. Not sure why I didn't do this one at the time, but when I came across it again a couple of months ago, I didn't want to deal with the wait times and cost of cracking it to resubmit, so I sent it to PWCC, and now it's running for auction.

I can't 100% confirm or guarantee it would grade numerically by PSA, but I did hold it up to a couple of other Play Ball cards through the case, and it seemed to line up right sizewise. My guess - it would grade and probably get a 6-7, not the 9 that it's in now.

Current bid is only $30 with just under 4 days left - which would be a steal for even a trimmed Dickey that looks this nice. But this one really looks unaltered - maybe a hair overgraded, but even knowing that this might be a notch or two down from a 9, you can get a beauty here!

I wish you would have posted that here first. I've been looking for that exact card. Thanks for the heads up and the history.
