Potential HOF autos
Awhile ago I got rid of the majority of my 60000+ autographs and decided to just collect HOF (US and Japan) with a few other odds and ends. I still have a box of what I called potential future HOFers cause I'd hate to get rid of them and have them make the Hall and have to rebuy them. I went through yesterday and came up with these guys.
Does anyone think any of them have a shot at the HOF? (not whether they are deserving but whether tehey might make it). I know some of these guys if they don't get voted in next Dec won't be looked at for 10 more years (by then I could be too old to care) and others every five years Players are Babe Herman, Paul Derringer, Marty Marion, Bill White, Maury Wills, Joe Wood, Mickey Vernon, Jose canseco, and Vada pinson Your input is much appreciated |
I like all of those players, but sadly, I don't believe any of them will ever get in to the Hall. Babe Herman's bat should have negated his defense to hall voters, but it didn't and I don't think it ever will.

I thought Bill White had a chance as an executive when MacPhail got in, but that seems less likely as the years go on. I would agree on no with all the rest.

I call them "notch" guys, guys one notch below HOF. Like Dave Parker or Garvey or (I'm gonna say it) Hodges. I don't see any getting in, either, although I would've lost money saying that about Baines and Lee Smith.
