Help with Don Hoak
 

I rely on your collective expertise more than any other source for the best analysis of authenticity of autographs. I am very anxious to know if you believe this autograph of Don Hoak is authentic.

no good , either a jose special or boster piece , have seen a lot like this

Can anyone tell me what a Boster piece is? Many thanks.

I know jose refers to a certain ebay seller who's apparent real name is Jose. He sells certain rare players over and over again. I know threads have been posted about him numerous times and his seller ID has probably been mentioned or linked in one or more of these topics. I remember reading in one that supposedly he worked for a police department or might have been a law enforcement official himself. That is never a good thing to hear when it follows claims of fraudulent activity!

I have not noticed the term Boster, but am going to guess maybe that is a user name or person's name who is known to sell forgeries. Khw may need to answer that one though, since he used the term.

I did know about Jose, but hadn't heard anybody on this board speak of Boster. I want to educate myself if there are issues with any dealers/collectors.
