Remember These ? 7 Eleven Phone Cards

Here are a few

I remember them. I have 2 of the Ripkens. Any value to these?
|
I remember those and many other baseball phone cards, some authorized/licensed, some not. Dealers who sold those at shows always seemed to also be selling Broders and Beanie Babies.
|
Based on previous sales on COMC, looks like they're still a few bucks apiece. Not much current stock on there either, and none on sportlots.

Wow, those were such a “point in time” thing...try explaining to someone under 30 what a phone card was. :D
|
Or party lines, time of day calling discounts. pay telephones, yellow pages or landline phones

They were definitely a hot thing around 94-96 or so, it seems, maybe a little longer after that. Classic and SR were putting them 1 per pack at $1 & $2 increments, but a chance to hand a $100 or $1000 one. Never used a single one for any phone time, but enjoyed collecting a few.
