1962 Salada Coins Pirates Original Shield NM. Clemente, Mazeroski, Virdon
 

Offered for is a pristine 1962 group of Pittsburg Pirates Salada Coins in the original shield. These shield are ultra rare and thin plastic. They are quite fragile so not many have survived. The Pirates group includes the ultra desirable HOF Roberto Clemente, Bill Mazeroski owner of the most famous walk off homer in history, Bill Virdon, Elroy Face, Bob Friend , Smokey Burgess, Dick Groat, Bob Skinner, Don Hoak and Dick Stuart. From what I can tell this is in near mint condition. I have not taken out the coins which are red bordered . The shields are so rare no mention is even made in the standard catalogue.
