Zeenuts

I recently purchased a small set of Zeenuts E137 . It appears as if the Zeenuts were published over quite a few years (1911-1926 ??) .
My question ...is the a book or any other literature for sale describing/checklist for the various cards of each year, etc ??? I will search the internet but always still prefer to hold something in my hand to read.
thanks
Dan

There Is....

.....at least one book. The title is "Zeenuts 1911-1938" authored by Jim Horne. Copyright 1977 with a PO box 1276 in Paradise California 95969. I think Paradise might be one of the towns that was a tragic victim of a wild fire a few years back. A spiral bound version was being sold on the board about 10 -12 years ago and I mean to say the member had multiple copies available. If you use the search function perhaps you can find the name of the member. I bought one and it has served me well. Hope this can help ...and fun cards to explore and collect. Sincerely, Dennis

Dan, there are a significant number of Pacific Coast League and Zeenut aficionados who frequent this board. A few of us share images of our Zeenut collections, and there's definitely a handful who have been working on Zeenut collections for decades, if not longer. I still consider myself quite a neophyte in that regard.

It's a fascinating run of cards - and features both the pre-MLB and post-MLB cards of many Hall of Famers, not to mention some of the best PCL players ever, many of whom would have thrived in MLB had they had the interest. You have great player nicknames, team rivalries, etc.

It's a wonderful rabbit hole to dive in, should you have the time and interest. If you have specific questions, post away as I'm sure many of the folks on this board would be happy to help

I’m looking for scans of the 3 1911 Burrell cards. I have one which I assume is the large pose. Any help on the medium and small pose would be appreciated. I have heard that the small pose does not actually exist but I can’t confirm that. Also could anyone post scans of the 3 McKune cards.
I wrote to Mark Macrae and he told me around 2010 he sent xeroxes of his 1911 variations to some collectors here but didn’t have any additional copies.

Gotta love the Zeenuts. Pick up an old Standard Catalog; they had good sections on the sets. This one is a PC favorite:
