The State of the Game:
As I type this, the Cardinals have played only 5 games.
The Marlins have played 12 games. The other teams have played: Phillies - 14 Nationals & Blue Jays - 15 Cubs & Tigers - 16 Pirates, Brewers, Rangers & Orioles - 17 Rockies, Yankees, & Astros - 18 D-Backs, Reds, A's, Twins, White Sox, Inidans, Royals, Angels & Red Sox - 19 Dodgers, Padres, Braves, Mets, Giants, Rays & Mariners - 20 Including tonight, August 14, there are 41 days left in this season. St. Louis will have to played 55 games during that time - at least seven more than any other team (Marlins). Is this fair? - is it possible? - is it feasable? . and a big shout-out to the KBO for supplying a reasonable alternative while we waited. . |
They are going by winning percentage if they can't make up games.

Quote:
Oh, I realize that, but if they wind up playing 10-15 games less than the other teams (16.7-25 % of the season), that, IMO, wouldn't be legit. As I type this, they have started back and are winning all their games so far. They still have a lot of double-headers to play in a relatively short amount of time. . |
