Best Sharpie/pen to use for Hartland statues

Gentlemen:

I need an education on what type of writing instrument is best to use when getting an autograph on a plastic Hartland statue.

If it is a sharpie, what size, type etc.

Any and all replies greatly appreciated!

Is it Colavito or Groat, because I doubt it would be Mays or Aparicio.

For Groat, I would use an ultra fine black sharpie and have him sign it above the 24 on the back.

Signature
24

For Colavito, I'd use an ultra fine black sharpie and sign it on the right side of his back starting at his belt going upwards towards his right shoulder.

7 - signature

Normally I prefer blue on everything, but black tends to hold up much better on white plastic (ie white football mini helmets.)

Why not Aaron?? :)

No, it's for Groat. Thanks for the info. I am not an autograph guy, so needed guidance.

Does the fine sharpie dry quickly? Are all Sharpies permanent or should I look to purchase a permanent one?

Sounds like you have some signed Hartlands? If so which do you have?

Thanks

I forgot Aaron had one too. I actually do not have any Hartlands signed! I would give the plastic about 10 seconds to dry. Might be worth giving the signing area a bit of a rub with your finger before sending in too.

And yes, all Sharpies are permanent depending on the surface. I would avoid displaying the figure in direct sunlight once signed though.

Appreciate the info!
