Pennock signed plaque. They could at least create one that is actually possible.

Mel Ott signed bat. With a Letter from Barry Halper. That just screams BS! Barry was the biggest bulls-itter in the game.

Question for some of the experts on the board:

What are some of the things you look for to know whether an autograph is genuine or a forgery?

I want to become more knowledgeable so I know what to avoid when purchasing autographs and so that I am not completely relying on certifications, which I understand can be wrong even if issued by PSA/DNA, JSA, Beckett, etc.

Anyone have tips or advice?

Thanks!
