Most valuable card
T206 Wagner psa 8 or one of the three 52 Topps mantle psa 10’s?
|
Baltimore News Ruth PSA 4 would easily fetch 7 figures

Could very well be possible after all Ruth is the king of baseball. |
Ken Kendrick’s Wagner. He has been offered 10 million for it. He hasn’t been offered that for his PSA 10 Mantle. I would think the Baltimore News Ruth would go for more than the Mantle too. The Wagner and Ruth are unique cards. There are 3 of the Mantles.

What is the story behind that Wagner getting a "MC" designation?
|
Are the Luis Robert rookies still going strong?
I would want to guess T206 Wagner, but I guess you never know with the way the modern stuff sells. Rob |
Most valuable card? Probably some Diamond Rainbow Purple Super-duper Refractor card of Mike Trout (#'ed /5). :D
|
I thought
that Goldin was soon going to auction off a Trout Superfractor RC that is expected to be the highest price ever paid for a baseball card-

For the uninitiated, what is the difference between a refractor and a superrefractor?

Fixed your post. With Wagner and Ruth you are looking at dozens down to several total cards. Not the quantity of a card that has achieved a certain opinion from a 3rd party. |

Meaning Rats was trying to contextualize the 1 Kendricks Wagner, to the three PSA 10 Mantles. Thats how I read it anyway. I could be wrong, but I think thats how he was trying to compare the two, not the "run of the mill '52 Mantle" only the 3 known "10s". All this aside, I personally would rather have have a mere "PSA 6-7 Mantle". Owning a Wagner puts you on the world map in a sense, and I don't personally care to be in that spotlight. Not taking anything away from any Wagner owners, but its just not something I aspire to own. |

Just So Cy Young would be at the top of my list of cards to own. Value is hard to determine...Several million at least, I would guess.

To put the current 1/1 insert in perspective. In the early 90's as a candy wholesaler a card company rep came in to see me one afternoon. He handed me a signed Shaq insert number 2 0f 3. I said "Wow how can you do this there are only three in existence?" He laughed, opened his briefcase and showed me a stack of them. I highly questioned manufactured rarities.
|
So it looks like t206 Wagner psa 8 versus Ruth Baltimore psa 4 for the most valuable card.
|
PSA 8 Wagner does not exist!
A PSA 8 Wagner doesn't exist.
That first card PSA graded has been determined to be trimmed by Mastro! Patrick |
