Selling off autographed baseball collection
 

Hey folks, I used to be pretty active on this site a few years ago and was very passionate about collecting autographs, but with getting married, having kids, jobs and medical issues, I have lost my love for it. I have all my baseballs in display, and I no longer smile when I see them, and that bums me out. I am hoping some folks here can get more out of them than me.

I don't have prices listed because I am hoping people. Realize I am not doing this for money but to give these items a better home, so shoot me a reasonable plus shipping offer and we can chat. If you are looking at buying I would suggest getting better pictures before purchasing. I didnt and I bought two and they both had black scuff marks on them not visible in the pictures provided. Nicely asked about it and about possibly sending them back for a refund.

M - Here are pictures of what I am talking about. You can see the black marks on them both, they have a few more on other parts but you get what I am talking about. These marks werent visible in your pictures to my eye at least.

I - Looks to me like scuff marks. Weird. I wonder if they would wipe off with a little water

M - I dont want to try to mess with the ball out of fear of making them worse. Would you do a refund and I can send them back?

I - I'd rather not do a refund, as the balls are as described.

M - Ok, well they arent as the pictures provided (as there are no scuff marks visible in those pictures you have up) for whatever reason...very easy to compare them and see that so they arent as described. Just say sorry no I wont refund you and I'll eat them but dont try to claim they were accurately described.

I got Eddie Murray and Willie McCovey. Good price and same ones as pictured. I am not super picky though. (Just wanted to give a balance of comments).

BS. The pictures were purposely taken to hide those scuff marks, and probably weren't as described.

Thanks Thomas for this, just for clarity, I didn't respond to your last message as I felt the conversation wasn't going to go forward, I apologize for offending you if I did.

I'm sorry the balls you got were not what you were expecting, I have been in that position a few times and it stinks.

I'm not trying to screw anyone over, just trying to move on from a hobby I have fallen out of love with. I urge anyone if they are interested to simply ask for updated pictures to ensure this does not happen again.

Yes I only posted and provided the back and forth to illustrate that people would be better served if they asked for more pictures for what they want as I did not, and I would not have bought them had I been aware they are scuffed up (more scuffs on the backsides as well on both). And to show that no refund would be given if a person was dissatisfied.

That's fine it's on me for not asking for better pictures before jumping in, lessoned learned.
