FS: 47-year Topps Set run 1973-2019 UPDATED - SELLING INDIVIDUALLY

UPDATE August 12: No longer for sale as a lot. PM me if you're interested in individual sets.

UPDATE JULY 22: I'm now offering the run of sets from 1973-2019. '70, '71, and '72 are no longer for sale with this lot.

The 47-year run of sets 1973-2019 is available for $2,400.

Here's a unique opportunity to pick up a 50-year run of Topps complete baseball sets. Every Topps base set 1970-2019 is included. Scans of key cards from each set and an overall description is included below. I've tried to grade out everything but in the end, you be the judge with the scans. If you have any questions or want more scans/descriptions, please reach out. All sets 1970-1985 are in white albums with Ultra-Pro Platinum 9-pocket pages. '70-'74 are mostly EX-EXMT, '75, 76 mostly EXMT, '77-79 mostly NM, 80s basically all NM or better with more details below.

$6,000

1970:
I would estimate 10% NM or better, 30% EXMT, 50% EX, 10% worse than EX with very few if any below VG. Some typical centering issues, the occasional crease/wrinkle, corner dings etc but overall I would grade the set EX+ or EXMT.
There was a time when I had more time on my hands than I knew what to do with that I scanned in my sets. These scans were done around 10 years ago. The current set has been updated and a few stars have been graded since I did these scans but it should give you a good idea of overall condition. No card in the set I'm offering is worse than what you can see in the scans and quite a few have been upgraded and are better: https://s262.photobucket.com/user/rs...art=all&page=1
Keys:
1 World Champion Mets: EXMT/NM
140 Jackson: PSA 6 (subbed myself, I thought it would be a 7 but centering holds it back I suppose)
189 Munson: PSA 7
197 Ryan Saves the Day: nice card, NM
300 Seaver: Very minor corner dings, EX+/EXMT
350 Clemente: NM o/c
500 Aaron: corner dings, EX, possibly EX+
580 Rose: corner dings, EX, possibly EX+
600 Mays: EX+/EXMT
630 Banks: by far the weakest star in the set, VGish with a light crease on the bottom
640 Kaline: EXMT, maybe close to NM
660 Bench: PSA 5 (subbed myself, I thought it had a shot at a 7)
700 F Robinson: EX+, maybe close to EXMT
712 Ryan: PSA 7
713 Pilots Team: EXMT/NM
Scans of keys: 1 2 3
Random page from album: 1 2

1971:
A difficult set to grade. I see very few cards I would grade less than EX, maybe 5% VGEX or worse with no real dogs in the set that I see. 10% NM, 65% EX, 20-25% EXMT I would estimate. I would call it an EX+ set I suppose.
Again, about 10 years ago I scanned in the set. I've since upgrade many of the cards so the set for sale is at least as good as the one scanned with probably 20-30 cards having been upgraded. Set scan here: https://s262.photobucket.com/user/rs...art=all&page=1
Keys:
5 Munson: corner dings, maybe EX but no better
20 Jackson: PSA 6, subbed myself, was hoping for a 7

160 Seaver: EX+
250 Bench: EX/EX+
341 Garvey: EX/EX+
400 Aaron: EX/EX+
513 Ryan: VG/EX, there is a gum stain on back
525 Banks: EX/EX+
530 Yaz: EX/EX+
550 Killebrew: EXMT
570 Palmer: EXMT
600 Mays: EX/EX+
625 Brock: EX+
630 Clemente: VGEX/EX
640 F Robinson: EX/EX+
650 Allen: EX
688 Anderson: EX+/EXMT
700 Powell: EX
709 Baylor/Baker RC: EX/EX+
740 Aparicio: VG/VG+ top middle creased/wrinkled near 's' in SOX
750 McLain: EX/EX+
Scans of keys: 1 2 3
Random page from album: 1 2

1972:
10% NM, 25% EXMT, 60% EX, 5% worse. Another EX+ish set. No real dogs, a handful of light creases/miscuts/rounded corners but another overall attractive well-presenting mid grade+ set.
10-ish years ago I scanned in the set. I've since upgraded 20-30+ cards so what you're getting is at least this good. https://s262.photobucket.com/user/rs...art=all&page=1

49 Mays: weak bottom left corner, EX+
79 Fisk RC: EXMT/NM
299 Aaron: bottom left corner ding EX+/EXMT

600 Kaline: VG/EX light wrinkle
686 Garvey: VG/EX light wrinkle
695 Carew: EXMT/NM
696 Carew IA: NM

761 Cey RC: EX/EX+ corner ding
777 Wilhelm: EX+/EXMT o/c
Scans of keys: 1 2 3
Random page from album: 1 2

1973:
10% EXMT-NM, 70% EX, 10% VG/EX, 10% less. Centering issues being the primary culprit of less than EX cards.
10-year old scans of the set here. I've upgraded 10-20 cards so the set being sold is at least this good, slightly better. https://s262.photobucket.com/user/rs...art=all&page=1

Scans of keys: 1 2
Random page from album: 1 2

1974:
Mostly EX to EXMT with maybe 10% better and 15% lower. Centering issues, and corner dings being the primary issues. There are no Washington Nat'l variations included

1986-2019:
All factory sets in original boxes. '86, '87, and '88 were taped from the factory, this tape has been removed and the boxes have been opened but contents seem fine. '89-'19 are all still shrink wrapped and have all been part of my collection and stored in a climate-controlled environment since they were purchased. I know several different factory complete sets are produced every year. New sets aren't my thing so I'm not sure how to tell the difference. If you can't tell by the picture what version of the complete set it is and want to know, just tell me what to look for.

That's an awesome run of Topps sets. My goal is to eventually have every Topps set from 1957 until now. So far I've got a lot of the 2000s-2010s as well as 1974 and 1975. Currently working on 1957.

I'm curious, and I'm guessing the answer would be yes since you said you had all the Topps sets, but do you have Topps Update sets too? Those weren't issued in complete set form from the early 2000s-now. Might want to show the key RCs from those Traded/Update sets like Trout, Yelich, Betts, Kershaw, Scherzer.

Anyway, best of luck with this run of Topps sets. Would be a nice lot to pick up for someone wanting to put a run of sets together.

No, these are only Topps base sets, no update sets included except the ones specifically mentioned: 76 traded, 81 traded, and 83 traded. Thanks for the kind words, good luck in your endeavor.
