New member - hello from the UK

Hi, I've been reading net54 for a while and just joined the boards.

I used to collect as a boy growing up in Dallas. I'm now living in the UK and back into collecting after finding my old cards in the attic.

I'm interested in vintage cards mostly - 50s and 60s but some older and unusual sets.
I'm building 1955 Topps and 1960 Topps sets and starting to pick up some more unusual sets (W554 and Red man).

Welcome!
Is there some colorful way of referring to the attic in The UK (like it is with a lift or crisps, etc.), or is it just "attic" and nothing more to it?

Of course, as the old saying goes "England and America are two countries divided by a common language."

In England, the attic is called the loft.

I'll try to keep my posts in US English though.

Welcome, Gary. Enjoy your stay. And if I can ever help shoot me a private message (same for anyone else too). .Happy Collecting....

Loft...that's it?? I was hoping going to the attic was something like 'boggling up to Knightsbridge Landing.' Oh well. :D
