Favorite Net54 Marketplace Acquisition(s)
This site has been one of the most rewarding aspects of the hobby for me.
The cardboard knowledge of the board members is unmatched and the Market Place has been a great place to add to my collection. They probably wouldn't make my top 50 in terms of cost, but my favorite Net54 acquisitions are these 2 Detroit legends. What is your favorite acquisition(s) from the Net54 marketplace? Let's see some card porn. https://www.net54baseball.com/pictur...ictureid=28478https://www.net54baseball.com/pictur...ictureid=28479 |

B S T Favorites
Through the years been finding more and more of my items on the site BST section. Enclosed are a couple favorites, Type 1 photo from the 1920 Movie "Headin Home" featuring a young Babe Ruth. Second a mid 19-teens notebook with a great shot of my number one collecting interest, Joe Jackson while playing with the Indians.

Way too many to list, this is a very small selection of some of my favorites.
I built a complete 1955 Bowman master set with variations. I built this with trades/purchases only from fellow members. It took a couple years as most transactions were for single cards or small lots. 4 Wade Boggs bats plus a couple other oddball bats. Autographs of Mantle, Williams, Mathews, and many others. 1952 Topps Eddie Mathews rookie. T206 Red Cobb and easily 100 other T206s. Close to 100 T210s. An amazing piece of artwork of Eddie Mathews signed by Eddie. A whole lot of error/variation cards. 1939 Ted Williams Play Ball I got every set of Bowman reprints made for the price of shipping thanks to Al. Many many oddball Ted Williams items. The 5th and 7th cards Beckett graded in testing before they ever graded a single card for the public. This list isn't even scratching the surface of all the great items I have bought from fellow members and hope to buy a lot more.:) |

I have two, but my most recent acquisition isn't in hand yet. But the other is meeting and buying from BumpusJones (Chris). He runs a Reds Opening Day sale. And this year I bought a Barry Larkin worn 1990 WS celebration hat, also signed by Larkin, and I found a photo of him wearing it after their Game 4 victory. It's a top item in my Reds collection, to go along with the Eugenio Suarez game worn hat (MLB auctions). I was hoping to get a Votto game worn hat this year.....and it's still a possibility if salary dispute can be settled.

One of the few I currently have on display,
https://live.staticflickr.com/4900/4...9c4f1b59_b.jpg This one was part of a group that gave me a huge bump in getting to where I am on my Nadja set. Not only did the group include some of the tougher cards in the set, it also showcases how great board members can be as the seller held the cards for a few months while I saved the funds necessary to buy the group. https://live.staticflickr.com/4373/3...c68d9ed2_b.jpg |
