Post Cereal Cards: Want your opinion
3 Attachment(s)
Long time listener 1st time poster. I came across these '63 Post Cereal cards, I've done a lot of research using threads on this board about evaluating these hand cut cards. I know there is supposed to be black showing on the edge but would like any opinion about if these would meet the requirement for a numbered grade (don't want to discuss whether PSA should give a # grade in the 1st place, different convo).
Clemente is rough but wanted to show as you can see most of the black border. What do you think? - Thank you, Jeff |
Sgc
SGC is a lot easier on grades for Post Cereal and Jello cards.
PSA most likely will only grade a card authentic if all the black line isn't present. So I think SGC would most likely give you a number grade, PSA - who knows ? |
PSA Grade
I agree with Wayne in that from PSA there is no way any of these three gets a graded number. (Can't speak to SGC as no real knowledge)

My eyes are old.
Is there another reason why PSA would not grade the Gibson card? I don't see any of the black line around the border. Thanks |
None of them deserve a number grade.
I've got a nice Clemente and Aaron that I bought back when I could submit to PSA. Both have clean backs and full borders. The Aaron has a ding on the bottom right corner that will hold the grade around EX or less. They both could be cleaned up slightly by trimming more evenly around the full black borders. https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net...8d&oe=5F094037 Maybe they'd be a good lot for the BST board here. |
