Good luck Troy. Another great auction

Auction
Hi Scott, you have some great items in your auction, but I have some concerns.
I am currently watching 24 lots, and I have bids on 2 lots. I would make more bids, but I don't know what I am bidding on. Most of your lots don't have back scans, they don't have a description or a list of the cards in the lot. For instance, I am watching a lot of 1970 hi numbers. What am I getting? There are no back scans and you don't provide a list of the numbers. The same with 1971 hi's and 1972 hi's. There is a lot of 128 Horrors of War cards, but you don't provide the info that I need to make a bid. What are the #'s in the lot? Many of the low grade commons sell for $2-3, but low grade hi #'s may sell for over $100. Are there any hi #'s in this lot? And, as was discussed in a previous thread, your photos are difficult to use. Instead of being able to click on a photo and have it turn into a large photo, users are forced to use the mouse to slowly run the magnifier over each area of the photo to see details. It is unwieldy and time consuming when there are several photos for a large lot. I enjoy your auctions, and I wish you the best, but I wish you would listen to the feedback that was provided after your previous auction and make some changes. Sincerely, Rick |
Auction is tomorrow so this needs a bump.
More questions: Lot 1d: 1955 Ny Yankees Team Signed Ball 26 Autos. Is there any COA or assessment of this item? Lot #34c: 9 1933 Goudey Baseball Cards Good/vg-ex. Mancuso, Collins, Brandt, Hogan all look trimmed despite being called VG-EX or EX. One card seems to have slid through SGC's black gasket and may be getting more damaged. Lot #44b: Roger Maris/mickey Mantle Vintage Postcards. Both cards pictured are of Roger Maris. Lot #106:5 1888 N162 Goodwin Champions Cards. The ones without backs either need to be clarified as skinned or cut from a poster (not N162s), or blank-backed. Another thing I noticed during the last auction: because of your use of 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, etc, only 1 gets shown in the upcoming items window. So when I try to follow along with what is coming up, there are a lot of things that surprise me. Maybe go to whole numbers and give the a,b,c,d a break? |

Lot 1D Was an estate find no coa. We stand behind its authenticity. Money back if it fails JSA or PSA plus authentication fees. Lot 34C please examine scans carefully. It does appear that a few of the cards are short or have been trimmed. Please bid accordingly. Lot 44B Yes they are both Maris, it was a typo that will be corrected. Lot 106, any card that does not have a back is skinned so please bid accordingly. Thanks for your feedback and questions. We are always trying to improve. Troy |

I will get you the info you are requesting very shortly. As for the changes you suggested, bear in mind that these auctions coming up were complete and in the pipeline before your suggestions were made. We are looking to implement sound feedback and suggestions into future sales, however this is sometimes a slow process. We are in contact with our bid site creator to add the large photo function, but again change is sometimes slow. Troy |
New Photos Added to all Vintage Sets
FYI for all who have asked, this morning we took photos of all the key cards in the vintage complete sets and posted them online in the catalogs.
