Anyone collect hotel/airline soap?

The title says it all.

Was wondering if anyone on this site collected this type of item. I did a lot of traveling during most of my working days and didn't mean to collect them. But now many of the hotels and/or airlines are no longer around.

This is as about "everything else" as one can get.

I dabbled in the hobby a bit but got kind of bored and decided to wash my hands of it.

from the posts

on the soap collectors board I hear it is a really dirty business.

I should have added that none of them are on a rope.

I have some hilton mini soaps from the mid-1940s. Theyre really clean.
Also a mini soap from sheraton circa 2017 with light water damage.
PM if interested

Have they been authenticated?

Sorry, seems like the rest of the blog was turning into comedy. I should have known better.

On a serious note, the collector in me chafes against just using the soap from now long-gone hotels and airlines. So I was hoping someone knew someone who might have an interest in them.

Guess I'll just go and suds up.

Soap

I traveled a lot, both work related and personal, and I would save the unused soap, shampoo, etc, and when I got a box full I would take them to a homeless shelter. They were thrilled to get them.

My wife got me to save and donate to shelters as well.

Kudos to this thread. My grandpa had a matchbook collection along these lines that always fascinated me. Probably contributes to why I like exhibits, supplementals and random early first printed stuff of guys even if not pack issued.
