FS - Custom 16x20 Photographic Prints From Original 1930's Glass Plate Negatives (18)
 

Offering these one-of-kind 16x20 photographic prints that served as proofs for a gallery I recently curated. These images are not available anywhere else and only one proof of each was produced. Each museum-quality print is being offered for $65ea, which includes Priority Mail shipping.

All images presented have been crafted from brand new scans of original glass plate negatives shot by press photographers during the 1930’s. These negatives originated from The Sun, a daily Manhattan paper that sent the photographers out on assignment to shoot players as they came through the NY ballparks early in the season.

Every attempt was made to show the entire image captured on the negs without cropping. Once our scans were created, images were then professionally restored by our graphic artist and any scratches, dust, fingerprints were removed - the results are nothing short of spectacular! These are museum quality pieces, NOT cheap reproductions.

Several of our images were used in 1972 for TCMA's "The 1930's" but have never been seen in this size or quality. In addition, all images are from the same collection of negatives used to create "The 1930's" but the images have never been seen by the public until now:

Those are beautiful Andrew! I really like the Joe Judge and the portrait Lefty Gomez.

That Lefty shot is intense. Here he is framed up during my event. Unfortunately, the pics I shot of the prints above have a bit of a yellow cast but you can see here they are truly black and white in person:

These are absolutely beautiful pieces. If you come across any Red Sox proofs of similar quality, please let me know. I'm tempted to buy both the Cubs for a friend of mine.

We actually did a gorgeous Jimmie Foxx print but he's long gone, unfortunately. Shoot me a PM if you'd like and we can talk pricing for the two Cubs. I'm shocked nobody has picked up the Charlie Grimm yet. In-person that photo is a real stunner.
