The 1st batch of photos are currently listed on eBay, and they are running from Tuesday, April 28th through Tuesday, May 5th. The 2nd batch of photos will post on Tuesday, May 5th, and they will close on Tuesday, May 12th. Hi, I'm new to this, would these be considered "Type 1"? And does original = "type 1", or is it another/separate designation altogether? Was looking at these and interested in any help you can provide, thanks!

Hi,

They would be considered Type I photos, when the image & the paper caption are capturing a recent event at the time, ie Joe DiMaggio seen here getting a hit in yesterday's spring training game against the Tigers.

Now if you have an image of Ruth in his Red Sox uniform, and the wire photo is from 1935, and the caption says here's an image of the Bambino from 20 years ago, it would be a vintage photo, but not Type I. Also, any collage style photos are not considered Type I by PSA's standards.
