This is a fun read about the 1987 Topps Don Mattingly and a quest to learn his true birthday.

Fun stuff. A little bummed to not find out if there exists a plate or proof card with the 1961 date (or properly aligned 62). Many years ago I was chasing after what I thought could be a “corrected” birthdate version with an aligned birth year.

Any time an article that involves baseball cards appears in a mainstream news outlet, I think it’s good for the hobby.
