fs-unassisted triple play display with tough auto

For sale here is a very neat combo piece with autographs of the guy who started the only ws unassisted triple play (clarence mitchell) and the guy who finished it- bill Wambsganns...

mitchell was the first and only player to hit into a ws triple play, and wamby was the only one to pull it off...

Wamby’s signature is fairly common, while mitchell’s is extremely tough...both autos are cuts that have been placed in lucite, and then mounted to an 11x14 matte board. Foam core backing will be included, all you need is a frame... very tough signature in mitchell, and an excellent conversation piece as we approCh the 100th anniversary of this event.

Game 5 of the 1920 World Series was a very notable game in World Series History. Elmer Smith hit the 1st Grand Slam in World Series history by taking Hall of Famer Burleigh Grimes deep. Cleveland Pitcher Jim Bagby also hit the 1st World Series Home Run by a Pitcher on top of the Wambsganss Unassisted Triple Play. In my opinion Pete Kilduff would likely be the most difficult signature to obtain as he died in 1930, just 10 years after the play.

Kilduff

Is the toughest for sure

As far as appearing in 1920 World Series, Kildruff would be among the toughest. But extending out to include all 1920 Cleveland team ball players appearing that season, Ray Chapman May have the honor of being the toughest autograph.
