Did anyone win this in Lelands?

Hi Gang:

Hoping the winner of this Hartland statue from a Lelands auction back in 2001 is here on Net 54. If so, PLEASE PM me.

https://auction.lelands.com/bids/bidplace?itemid=3454

Thanks,

Fred

I wish the photo was bigger/better, or that it could be expanded.

Hard to see the paint job in any detail. That said, how do we know the statue is really different, and that someone didn't just hand-craft a makeshift base?

Hi Mark:

What makes this different is in the description it says:

Snider stands on the ready in filled plastic rather than the hollow norm.

I have another two or so like this. A "solid" not hollow statue.

Best,

Fred

Ahhh, Gothcha…

Seems like it sold for a very low price, given that difference. Do you think it was a pre-production prototype, or perhaps something else?

You should add "in 2001" to the title of this thread.

The obvious assumption from the title is that you are talking about the last Leland's auction, so if the person who won it didn't bid in the last Leland's auction they might not check this thread.

Yeah, I think it is a prototype.

Hi Doug:

I assume you mean ....the person who WON it, not ONE it.......

and secondly, vice versa

maybe the person who WON it DID bid in the recent Lelands auction.

Seems to me I can reach more Leland's bidders with a generic question rather than an exact date. Who can remember if they bid in a certain auction in 2001? Maybe you can, but I can't.

Then maybe put what you're looking for in the title. Maybe it's changed hands in the past 20 years.

Thank you for correcting my typo.

I don't like the odds of this Statue being found. :o
