Heritage payment plan

Has anyone ever used the HA payment plan feature? Just curious how it worked out. Pros/cons, etc.

Idk but I know for a fact that I plan on trying it out and will be emailing HA tomorrow to ask a few questions. I'm a credit card churner and am hoping to use a couple CCs to make payments. I can mitigate the CC surcharge if I do it right. Don't have much going on so working on permutations now!!

However I'm doubting that HA will let me use a credit card to make these payments, but I've done it with student loans before so?

Heritage (like most of the sports auction houses) doesn't accept CC as a form of payment. I can't imagine it would be different for a payment plan.

I believe that is wrong. I used a credit card last month to pay for a item from Heritage.

How much was it? On their auction rules they don't list it as a payment option. I'd love to know if there's a way that they allow it. (I ask how much the item was because some auction houses will take CC for items under $500)

$1,100. I thought it said it could be used up to 5k but I might have that part wrong.

It's possible. I'd love to know if that's the case. Hope others can confirm.

I don't remember for heritage specifically but I remember having the option at some major AH before. There was a 3% premium to do so. I have paid it out of convenience for smaller value wins, but went to the bank and did a wire transfer or mailed a check when I did not want to pay the premium.

You can pay over 10k via credit card. I did it a couple months back. A lot of auction houses are coming into the 21st century and accepting paypal or cc.

My Saturday invoice states the following; "Payments by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) are subject to a 2.5% surcharge. This fee only applies to credit transactions and does not exceed Heritage's cost of processing." Egregiously cost prohibitive on an invoice like that OM Cobb, even with top tier points cards.

Edit-I've actually just read that there's a 1% initiation fee on the HA payment plan, that's a non-starter for me.

Thanks for sharing that. Don't plan on utilizing it, but good to know it's an option (referring to both the CC and the payment plan)
