Book Recommendation

If you have an interest in early baseball in general, and the 1869-70 Cincinnati BBC in particular, then this book is for you. It is the most complete book about the team that I have seen and, at least to me, demonstrates why Peck and Snyder issued the team cards that they did.

The earlier book is more 1869-70 specific and has an interesting approach, with tons of great facts. Unfortunately neither book has footnotes or an index as such. I recommend both, although there is some overlap. |
