Antique 1850's - 1860's Lemon Peel Baseball Rare MEARS COA. Offered is a handmade baseball dating to the circa 19th century. Hide is constructed of stitched brown leather and what appears to be a yarn wound core. Ball is noticeably smaller than a standard baseball with an approximate 7" circumference and weight of 2 ounces. Heavy use shown with numerous scuff marks and some missing/repaired stitches.
