Vintage Scorecard Opinion Question (Possible Poll?)

Do you prefer your vintage scorecards scored or unscored?

I'm looking for scorecards from some fairly obscure Baltimore Orioles minor league affiliates. At this point, finding them is more important, than if they are scored or not. That said, if the scorecard is nicely scored, it adds something to me.

For me, it's all about being scored, and if it was folded and stuffed in a back pocket shortly after spilling orange soda on it, all the better.

I like scored scorecards. Love to see other folks' 'systems'.

Prefer neatly and completely scored.

Scored almost like being at game sometimes. This is a 1934 Tigers vs Yankees. It says in front most exciting game I ever witnessed Won by our Fighting Tigers win 12 to 11 in the 9th.
Game where Babe Ruth hit his 701st Home Run. He had hit #700 the day before. First hand witness to Baseball History.

both ways

I am happy with them either way. Still, scored is always intriguing.

I like them scored if done neatly and thoroughly. This is my favorite in my collection. Sept 1 1971 the Pirates field the first all black staring 9. A stub to this game is a grail item for me. As noted by the fan who scored this game there were only 11,278 in attendance. There cant be many of these out there.

That is SUCH a great program.

Thanks Doug, I won a lot of ten programs on Ebay for $10 and this one was among them. I think it found me.

Both for different reasons

Certain programs that have covers that I enjoy I like to have an unscored "near mint" copy of. Other programs like the one posted by Mike is all about tying the program to a specific game or event - like a 3000 hit game or a 500 home run game, a players first or last game, etc. Discerning between a program that was in fact scored at the game by an attendee vs. one that was scored later to appear to be from the game is the challenge.

Definitely scored. Has the personal touch. Plus every now and then I find a ballplayer signature on it. I guess it was easy for fan to have the scorecard/program on hand with their pencil.

I prefer team scorebooks (Spalding, etc.) over scorecards so, needless to say, scored for me. How else can you truly re-live say...an old negro league game, when it may be the only play-by-play record of the game.

Scored, it takes you back to the game.

OK, I thought I was weird because I like scored more. Weirdness loves company!
